Frequently asked questions

What are the advantages of ventilated facades?

First of all, exceptional aesthetics, durability, the possibility of using various materials such as stone, sintered quartz, composite panels, HPL, Corian, etc. A ventilated facade is way easier to keep clean when compared to standard solutions.

How to choose correct glazing?

Glazing (especially IGUs) is a crucial element of fenestration. Properly selected glass determines thermal, burglary-proof, acoustic, and safety parameters. It also protects against excessive sunlight and heat buildup.

What is the HST glass test and when should it be done?

The HST (Heat Soak Test) involves heating the tempered glass to a specific temperature for a specified period of time in a special chamber. The test aims to eliminate glass inclusions that could cause spontaneous breakage. The HST test is highly recommended for large-scale glazing. It is also recommended in applications where replacing damaged glass would be very expensive. More on spontaneous breakage of glass.

Do you offer support at the design stage?

Yes. We assist in the selection of systems, propose optimal technical solutions, and perform workshop and implementation designs.

Can glass break spontaneously on it's own?

Yes. Most often, it is due to mechanical stress caused by, for example, faulty installation, or thermal stress caused by partial shading of the glass or placing a dark (heat-accumulating) piece of furniture next to the glass, e.g., placing a dark sofa next to a large window.

Do you offer post-warranty service? How about warranty?

Yes! We offer a comprehensive post-warranty service. We offer a 2-7-year warranty on our aluminum joinery. The warranty length depends on the type and complexity of the structure. We provide a manufacturer's warranty on glass.

Which sliding door should you choose for your home (e.g. exit from the living room to the terrace)?

There are several types of sliding doors on the market, commonly referred to as "patio doors", they differ with their opening method or hardware. In addition to sliding systems, there are also lift-and-slide, tilt-and-slide, and panoramic designs. They can have one or more door leaves. The choice is most often determined by the weight, size, appearance, and functionality of the door.

Do you make non-standard elements/structures?

Absolutely! We love challenges and are happy to address our clients' individual needs. We've completed many unique projects—from artistic canopies and enclosures to an automatically opening glass hatch for a vineyard!

What advantages do aluminum windows have over PVC and wood?

The key advantages of aluminum are durability, structural strength, and the ability to create large windows with very narrow profiles, something unattainable with PVC and wood. Aluminum windows require virtually no maintenance, unlike other windows from other materials.

Does the color of window profiles affect the price?

Yes. Typically, you'll need to factor in additional fees for wood effect (wood color), two-tone/bi-color (different color inside and out), special (non-standard) colors, and long-lasting colors. The method of preparing the profiles before painting and the type of powder used also have influence on the price.

When should tempered and laminated glass be used?

Both tempered and laminated glass are considered safety glass. The difference is that tempered glass shatters into small (non-life-threatening) pieces, while laminated glass shatters but still provides a barrier and does not pose a safety risk.

We use tempered glass where we want to strengthen the glass (large dimensions) and in places where uneven heating of the glass may occur (partially shaded places).

Laminated glass is used where we want to ensure that the glass, if damaged, will not pose a safety risk to users. Most often, this applies to glass serving as balustrades, glass doors, and denial of entry in burglar-proof glass.

What is an RC2, RC3 or RC4 certified structure?

These markings (short for Resistance Class ) indicate the level of burglary resistance . They indicate how long and with what tools a given structure (window, door, display case) will resist an intruder.

What sun protection do you offer?

Specially selected selective (solar) glass, external blinds or roller shutters (aluminum and textile), rigid or movable slats, shutters, etc.

How to compare different offers? What should you look for?

When comparing offers, it's important to pay attention to numerous parameters and the information they contain. If a manufacturer doesn't provide some information or parameters, it's usually intentional!

Please note that a lower price does not always mean a better (cheaper) deal!

The most important parameters and information that the offer should contain are:

The adopted system of each structure, thermal and other parameters included in the design, installation method, seals used (e.g. sealing apron from the outside, vapour barrier from the inside), type of fittings, construction and parameters of the IGUs (large impact on price and thermal performance!), colour, window unit drawings with cross-sections, warranty.

How should window sills be attached to windows?

The best solution is to use a so-called under-sill profile, to which the window sill is attached. This solution guarantees a long-term, good seal. Screwing the window sill directly to the front of aluminum windows is the worst possible solution, damaging the windows and it does not guarantee proper sealing. Installing window sills becomes even more complicated when using ventilated facades. We have a proprietary solution based on years of experience and our own window sills, specifically designed for ventilated facades.

What colors and finishes are available?

Profiles can be powder-coated in any RAL color. Wood-effect, Bi-color/two-tone, anodized, and textured finishes are also available.

Which window and door system should I choose?

Choosing the right system is a fundamental decision. It determines the quality, durability, functionality, and price of the product. Generally, the more expensive the system, the better its quality and functionality. Our team will help you make this decision and present the most beneficial solution according to your needs and expectations.

Is it worth using windows with "self-cleaning" coatings?

Yes, especially in skylights that are difficult to access. It's important to remember that self-cleaning coatings must be exposed to precipitation and sunlight to function properly.

What is the difference between a standard window and a facade window?

Facade windows are used for large-scale structures where the static parameters of profiles profiles in standard windows do not have adequate stiffness. The structures must be resistant to wind pressure and suction. Otherwise, the windows will not be airtight, and glass may crack or shatter. Facade structures are also chosen for aesthetic reasons, because of narrow profile widths (50 mm).

What types of structures do you offer?

We manufacture virtually all types of window, door, and façade structures. We also build conservatories/winter gardens, balustrades, pergolas, skylights, and special structures. We also manufacture various types of ventilated façades.

What about transport and installation?

We ship in Poland using our own vehicles, and we're also happy to export worldwide – we've completed a significant number of projects in the US, Canada, Germany, and other European countries . We offer installation and supervision by professional our professional installation crews. We're no stranger to international installations!
